Appointment of an Assistant Team Manager
President's Note
On behalf of the ACU executive, and the team manager Armand Leblanc, I am glad to announce the appointment of Nadeem Khan as assistant team manager. Nadeem will help support the National team manager. The ACU and ultrarunning in general, is growing. For example, after the 24 hrs and 100Km - World Challenge - there will be a 50miles trail Championship in Texas , in December. And, we already know, 2009, will be a big year for ultrarunning with the Commonwealth Championship. So, it's becoming too much work for only one person...Nadeem, welcome on board!

A New ACU Record!
Congratualations to Sue KAINULAINEN, for setting a new record!
World Cup 100K, Misari, South Korea, October 8, 2006
Congratulations to our National Team for their outstanding performances at the World Cup 100K 2006 in Misari, South Korea. The event took place at the water basin of the 1988 Seoul Olympics. The 10K loop around the basin was flat and fast. The overcast sky held for most of the day keeping the hot sun away from the participants.
On the men’s side, a 14 th place finish, and on the women’s side, a 6 th place finish. Four of our team members, Darren Froese, Darin Bentley, Jennifer Dick and Carla Arnold, also set a personal best during the event. Please go to the 100K Teams & Results page for results and photos.

Mrs. Hilary Walker, Secretary-General of the IAU!

August 17, 2006
Recently, the local organizing committee of the 24H World Challenge 2007, welcomed Mrs. Hilary Walker, Secretary-General of the IAU.
Mrs. Walker visited Drummondville to see the facilities, meet partners, and politicians of the area. All together, it was three extremely constructive days.
With less than one year to go, until the event, the committee has begun the planning. Let us wish that the arrival of the world championship on Canadian ground will create a passion for the discipline. Obviously, if the passion could result in the increase in our membership and the arrival of partners, we would be very happy...
