CANADIAN 24 HRS TEAM SELECTION

To all Ultramarathoners - 2007
The last qualifying time accepted for the 24 Hrs National Team 2007, has to be posted by May 1, 2007. The official National Team that will represent Canada , at the World Challenge 24 Hrs, scheduled for July 28-29, 2007, in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada. The team names will be posted, further down this page, by the end of May. For more details, please contact Armand Leblanc, National Team Manager.

L'équipe nationale officielle qui représenteras le Canada au défi Mondial des 24 Hrs cédulé pour le 28-29 juillet 2007 à Drummondville, Québec, Canada, seras annoncé en fin mai. Selection Information

To be considered for the National Team you must be Canadian citizen or landed immigrant.

IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR 2007
Athletes wishing to qualify for the National Team must meet the qualifications standards at an IAU LABEL EVENT. Failure to do so will result in their name not being listed on the IAU ranking list, and therefore, no funding will be granted to the National Team.

Selected Team members must be members in good standing of the Association of Canadian Ultramarathoners ( ACU ) for the current year or in the process of becoming members by May 1, 2007.

Selected Team members agree to abide by the ACU Team Members Code of Conduct and Athletics Canada / IAAF Rules and Regulations.

A reminder to all athletes selected for the National 100K Team, that the ACU is self-funded and that any funding available will be announced as they materialize. The ACU is making every effort to bring on board sponsors to minimize the cost to the athletes but in case of limited funding some of the cost might have to be covered by the athletes themselves.
