Selection Information

To be considered for the National Team you must be Canadian citizen.

Selection takes place 3 months prior to the current World Championship.

The National Team Selection will be based on the performances registered in the previous 2 years leading to the current World Championship. It is the responsability of the athletes to ensure that their perfomances, where ever they may have been registered, are posted on the ACU ranking list prior to the last qualifying date announced for the current year.

A team of 9 men and 9 women are selected; 6 men and 3 alternates, 6 women and 3 alternates.

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO TEAM SELECTION
Athletes wishing to qualify for the National Team must meet the qualifications standards at an IAU LABEL EVENT. Failure to do so will result in their name not being listed on the IAU ranking list, and therefore, no funding will be granted to the National Team.
