Selection Information
To be considered for the National Trail you must be canadian citizen.
Selection takes place 3 months prior to the current World Championship.
*** SPECIAL SELECTION 2022 SEE BELOW STANDARDS ***
The National Team Selection will be based on the performances registered in the previous 2 years and up to 3 months prior to the current World Championship. It is the responsability of the athletes to ensure that their perfomances, where ever they may have been registered, are posted on the ACU ranking list prior to the last qualifying date announced for the current year.
The number of athletes to be selected will be announced by the IAU once the invitations are sent to the member's countries.
IMPORTANT CHANGES
Athletes wishing to qualify for the National Team must meet the qualifications standards at an IAU LABEL EVENT. Failure to do so will result in their name not being listed on the IAU ranking list, and therefore, no funding will be granted to the National Team. |

Selected Team members must be members in good standing of the Association of Canadian Ultramarathoners ( ACU ) for the current year or in the process of becoming members.
Selected Team members agree to abide by the ACU Team Members Code of Conduct and IAU / IAAF Rules and Regulations.
A reminder to all athletes selected for the National Trail Team, that the ACU is self-funded and that any funding available will be announced as they materialize. The ACU is making every effort to bring on board sponsors to minimize the cost to the athletes but in case of limited funding some of the cost might have to be covered by the athletes themselves.
