What an outstanding performance by all team members.
Despite the hilly 7.5 km loop, the race started on a cooler note with an overcast weather forecast for most of the morning but early afternoon the heat was back on and the sun was out.

A delegation of 3 men and 3 women representing Canada at this year 100K World Championships in Sveti Martin, Croatia, was ready to compete.

On the Women Team
Finishing in 7th place in the Women Team ranking
Julie Hamulecki 7:58:11 Hrs, 12th place and setting a new Women Open Canadian Record (pending ratification)
Catrin Jones 8:24:34 Hrs, 31st place, first 100K, PB
Neela D'Souza 8:45 Hrs, 43rd place, new Women 40 Canadian Record (pending ratification)

On the Men Team
No Team ranking
Samuel Trudel 7:48:56, 56th place with a new PB
Jason Kinsella 9:41:51, 105th place with a new PB
Jason Loutitt had to stop due to injury.

While competing in the World 100K Championships, most of our athletes were also competing in the World Masters 100K.
Julie Hamulecki came home with the Bronze Medal in the Women 35 age group.

Congratulations TEAM CANADA
