After years of hard work and much anticipation, the Commonwealth Championship Series became a reality. Eleven countries congregated to the small village of Keswick, one of the jewels of England’s Lake District, to compete in the 24 Hrs, 100K and mountain races events.

In the 24 Hrs event, outstanding performances by all with two personal best set by Charlotte Vasarhelyi 190.432 km and Guy Gilbert 217.783 km. Guy’s performance is one the best by a Canadian in the last 20 years.

In the 100K event, despite the challenging course through the mountains, our team’s veterans as well as rookies gave their all. Personal PB were set on both side and to top it up, a bronze medal for the women’s team.

An amazing venue, spectacular scenery and a very friendly town.
